What exactly is a condition?

A condition determines the next step of the workflow, when there is more than one alternative. The next step then is depending on the former events. If for example a request has been approved, the next step could be an email to the requester. If the request has been rejected, the next step could be a form where the requester can change details of his request and ask for approval again.
